Project Description:
The state home for women, Nari Gruh, located near GIDC Water Tank, Bhikshuk Gruh Road, Odhav, Ahmedabad, is a shelter home for women in distress who lack social and economic support. The home aims to provide shelter, food, clothing, medical treatment, legal aid and guidance, and economic and emotional rehabilitation to mentally challenged and HIV positive women. The existing infrastructure is in dire need of refurbishing, renovation, and modernization. The project proposal seeks to undertake CSR intervention to address these issues.
CSR Intervention:
The CSR intervention will focus on refurbishing the existing infrastructure, including the garden, exercise equipment, recreational facilities, dining hall, kitchen, and furniture. The project will also provide life skill training and seminars to enable the women to regain their self-esteem and achieve a higher level of personal self-sufficiency. The anticipated outcome of the project includes improved well-being, self-esteem, and personal self-sufficiency of the women.
